Wearing blues, defying the sea,
Clad in sky’s own deep blue,
Chestnut hair flowing over her shoulder,
Reaching out as if to embrace the sun.
She has a smile the moon envies,
You’re like a blue orchid in a pot.
Let me be the soil for you,
You be the branch, I’ll be the leaf.
Sitting by the sea with eyes of blue,
My soul is captive to your beauty.
For just one glance, I’d give my life,
The wind has carried love’s scent to this land.
My heart longs to run to you, my blue,
As if shackles bind my feet.
The bonds around my knees have loosened, yet I’m frozen,
Reach out your hands, so I can run to you.
Let me be the butterfly resting on your shoulder,
Blue flames have fallen into my heart.
Your beauty enchanted me, I’m dazzled,
Heart, run—spring has knocked upon my door.
