SILENT SCREAMS

Silence has fallen upon the cries
Screams rise within the wails
The world has become deaf to silent screams
Bodies, naked, melt away stitch by stitch

They cry out to you, to me, for justice
They die, humanity dies
Multiplied blind eyes
The blind and the deaf have thrived

Ears have become deaf to screams
Screams are unheard, those who hear are deaf
Icy weight has fallen upon hearts
As if layers of ice stretch for meters

Hearts buried beneath ice
Love has died, consciences are deaf
The horse barley in despair
While the master seek his throne

The merchant has placed justice on his scale
Sword in his right hand, a noose in his left
The bandit snorls, drooling
While the servant chases scraps from a broken pot

Humanity is dying, silently
They have stolen one pan of the scale
With the remaining one they drink blood
Rise up, you hearts with conscience

Today we have diminished by one, hearts ache with sorrow
Tomorrow we shall multiply with thousands, beneath the crimson sun
Rise up, stars will be born into our night
For you, me and all of us, let Justice live.
